Eucerin DermoPURIFIER Cleanser Review

It has been a very long time since I last wrote, Song Ling was asking on why didn't I blog anymore ^^;;;

Well, the reason is because I am SUPER BROKE!!! I am going to graduate but I am still not getting a job that will give me an income. Even my family is facing financial problems.

I am so broke that I can't even afford to pay for public transportations if they don't have the Touch 'n Go reader TT_TT *sighs and cries* So basically, righte now, I am just sitting at home, doing house work, cleaning and help my mom out occasionally ~_~ and also doing my cosplay props for this coming November's AFA event in Singapore.

Anyway, those depressing moments aside. I am going to review Eucerin's DermoPURIFIER Cleanser.

I currently cannot get my usual Skinfood Tea Tree Gel Cleanser due to *ahem* the above problem despite having it finished T_T so I am using my brother's cleanser instead.

My brother has been crying for Skinfood's Gel Cleanser since his bottle finish but *sigh* can't buy. So he make do with Eucerin's bought from Watsons. Thus, this review is based on both our experience using it.

Firstly, this product is watery, not as thick as the usual cleanser. It does not have any particular smell although it had a hint of medicinal smell. The bottle itself is quite big but one thing I don't like about the packaging is the way it dispenses the cleanser.The bottle mouth is the push and click open type, the cleanser is dispense by pouring method. Because of the watery content, I cannot control the amount being poured out (I prefer if its a pump type) so there are times when I accidently poured out the contents onto my entire palm thus wasting it. So I guess the large bottle that it came with is for this purposes? =/

The cleanser itself does not foam too much. It's a very good news for me since my face cannot take foaming cleanser (it'll dry and pull my face instantly). It's also good for people who have sensitive but problematic skin (because I am facing the same problem too). My face feels clean after washing it off ^v^.

The effect? Quite effective actually (after some time of continuous usage). The most noticable result was from my brother (thanks to his awful problematic skin, he tends to take care of his face investing in ways to heal and make his face better). He told me that the acne on his face has reduced quite a bit and I noticed that his face's redness has reduced too. As for mine, the number of acne have reduced too although once I am nearing to my menses period, nothing can help it clear. I don't experience too many break outs as before when I used other brands when my Skinfood finishes. My skin does not feel dry after washing too.

Best part of it is I felt my face squeeky clean!!!! Without feeling like a dried leaf and no sticky feeling too~~ A very good product actually despite the flaw in the dispensing method.

It is now officially my favourite cleanser after Skinfood Tea Tree Gel Cleanser ^u^v

John Little Warehouse Sale

I went over to John Little's warehouse sale in Expo last Wednesday when I was on MC =p eitherway, managed to grab some stuffs from there and I am quite happy with it.

John Little does not only sell cosmetics...its a departmental store actually, a branch off Robinsons.

Majolica Majorca Makeover

Remember my previous post about me winning the contest? Yeah~ so this will be my review on the stuffs that I tried during the makeover.

Natural Girly makeup (well not exactly girly but because I was wearing skirt...so they match up with my dressing)

Anyway,
Eye: Shadow Customize (single - PK421, BE121, SV830 and WT920), Majolook eye palette(RS354 - purplish fushia) and Frozen Splash Eyes (PK705) as base <---- really nice~

Eyelashes: Mascara Base (white) and Lash Enamel Glamour Neo (Volumising mascara)

Face: I don't know what face powder was brushed on me because there was not casing indication...since everything is glued bare on the palette.

Blusher: I think its a ZA brand blusher because I have never seen that blusher in MJ range

Lips: Majek (lip balm - HEAVENLY!) and another 3 mix colours of Rouge Majex which I don't remember which (combine them~ and you'll get the ultimate lip sensation). MY NEW HG!

The only bad thing about the makeover was that I was not explained on the items used =.=||| I guess it goes that way because everybody was itching to go back home as it was late (around 6pm almost to 7pm) and that, they did not actually prepare our face to a face up rather, just put on the make up on your bare oily skin >.<||| Which I have no choice but to wash it off immediately upon reaching home because my skin's start to "irradiate" Product introduction's done~ now the review part.

The eyeshadow first~. Eye shadows for the single customize was...a little bit too sheer for my liking (I am a cosplayer...so bear that in mind) but it did create a natural yet not too harsh look on my face. I still prefer the palette shadows as it's my favourite~. The Frozen Eye Splash which was used as an eyelid primer and eyeshadow was really smooth too~ but it makes my eyelids oily after a while (maybe because it was oily when the mousse was applied on). Nothing much to expect other than the colour variety and the packaging which is very princessy and cute~

My eyelashes was curled up before being applied on the mascara base which is white in colour. It adheres and kinda volumes up my eyelashes quite nicely. The structure of the brush which is a comb type makes it easier that we don't have to zig zag our wand to coat it...rather, light and swift sweeps across the eyelashes is adequate. The mascara that they used on me was no stranger to me because I use that range of mascara too~ And again, the wand shape make it easier for use to volume up the eyelashes without effort but with special techniques. Which is kinda cool for me because I don't need to be afraid of the bristles poking into my eyes.

Face powder wise, I am quite skeptical because I can't really use MJ's face powder - be it foundation cake or loose powder because of my skin condition. I was brushed with an anon face powder XDD but the effect of it was really nice~ It illuminates my skin. But it has not much of oil control properties. All in all, I don't have any comments on the face range =.=||| Blusher....another no comment product because the blusher used on me was a ZA blusher =.=||| doesn't fit the purpose but it did gave me a sheer blush look on my cheeks XD

Ohhh!!! my favourite part of the entire makeover~ The lips!!! Yeah, remember how heavenly MJ's lippies are?? How smooth and moisturising there are??? Well, the make up artist for me showed me a way to make your lips feel heavenly. Answer lies in the MAJEX (Moisturizing lip balm. An essential lip care item! Use as base before Rouge Majex for extra bee-stung effects) lip balm. Because of my dried up and cracked lips, she applied a generous amount of lip balm onto my lips. It smells of tea tree oil...or eucalyptus...or something in the middle which I can't remember but it feels very very nice on my lips~ I was enjoying it~~~ The smell was herbal too~ XDDD Next comes the rouge which she's concoted up. The moment it touches my lips~ OHHHH LA LA~~~~~~~~~ Its soo cooling and moisturising and it makes me feel so nice~ However, I don't really know what are the ingredients for it. I don't know what did they put in to make it feels so nice~.

But everything was gone when I accidently swipped my lips on some anon in the sardine packed MRT thanks to the hustling and pushing.

I however, did not managed to take photos during my makeover because everything was really rushed. So I camwhore at the toilet in a shopping complex instead XDDDDDDDDDDDDD because I want to quickly remove it when I reach home as its starting to itch.

That's all for it. A short review but, I did learn something good in the end.

Skinfood Pineapple Peeling Gel Review vs. The Face Shop Pomegranate Peeling Day Water

This review is made based on two of the types of facial scrub that I have used all this while apart from the Skinfood' Chlorella Peeling Gel which is not in production anymore given to me by Song Ling.

1. Skinfood Pineapple Peeling Gel

The texture of this scrub is very similar, almost identical to that of the Chlorella Peeling Gel that Song Ling once gave me to try. It's really good because the scrubs is really micro small and that it give a soothing feeling to my skin too. Just wondering how long will it lasts me.

The scrub is creamy milk in colour and it comes with microbeads too.

This scrub is strong though...as in the effects (it's even err...stronger than Chlorella as what the S.A told me). I've got a few stinging sensations everytime I use it on my face because my face is sensitive...so I don't think that this sensation will apply to others. BUT!!! the after effects of the scrub is sensationally GOOD!!! My skin felt very very very soft and smooth~~~ It feels very nice too~~~ I think its because of its softening enzymes that pineapples and papayas have...which is the Papain enzyme which is often used in meat softening purposes. It works really nice on our skin too ^v^d (but I don't think it was mentioned in the ingredients list)

It smells like pineapple too~~ young ones that is. Not the overriped ones. Quite fragrant..but not too overwhelming~

The end result was good too~ no sticky nor taut nor uncomfortable feeling on the skin~. It gives me a refreshing feeling at the end too~ no matter how tired I am at the end of the day.

But, there are some steps which I ignore...I usually scrub before I wash my face with my Skinfood Milkmania Cleansing Gel before I hit the Wash Off Masks and then my usual skin care regime and sheet mask should I want to.

Repurchase?: Yeah! Definitely!! Its good!
Recommended: Why not?! This is good stuff!



2. The Face Shop Pomegranate Peeling Day Water

This is one of my very first Korean beauty products scrub that I got for myself which I desperately am searching for at that point of time. The entire tube itself lasts me about half a year or more with weekly usage as it is a big tube! *o*

The scrub comes in an almost reddish clear gel with red beads which will turn into pink when you start to scrub it on your face. The texture of this scrub is quite watery because it'll start to drip after some point of scrubbing D:

This scrub does not give me any complications during scrubbing but it does leave a "squeeky" sensation after drying your face...the feeling like you touch squeeky tile floors...It's funny though but, it did not bother me much till I try the Chlorella Peeling Gel. It too leaves a soft and smooth sensation on the skin after usage. The skin also definitely looks better and much more refreshing as well as lighter.

The smell is quite refreshing too~ Nice pomegranate smell which is a little tangy on the side.

VERDICT: Which one is better?

It is obvious from my review that the Skinfood is better in so many ways. It's also really reliable as in the quality, consistency and effects. However, it's up to individual to judge it because, the reviews above are entirely based on my own experience.

Short updates

It's been a while since I last update this blog of mine. Recently I've been going through some bad skin days because there are friggin lots of random diamonds and rubies popping out on my face...partly is because of my work, my habit, and my skin care regime. Well, I work in a freezing office actually...its freezing to me but I think it's not to others...and because of my work, I spend all of my time in front of the computer thinking and analysing. Thus, my HANDs...they moved on their own to my face...you know the MSN emoticon where the emo rubs its chin while thinking? Yeah I did that! and that's how all the poppies popped out TT^TT another factor was also because of my mouldy mouse...seriously need to get a new one even though this is my best mouse. I also have been neglecting my face during those times because I always wake up late >.>||| not an excuse though...a fact instead ~_~

I told my mom about it...and she warned me not to touch my face anymore >.<|||

So now, well my face is getting better..but not entirely D:

On the other hand, due to my long working hours, I have been having troubles exploring out...takes me 1 travelling hour from my office back home >.>||| plus 9.5 working hours...but babysitting the kids. It's killing me! Still, I'll try to enjoy myself on weekends since I don't actually work on weekends XDD
